Renovated 1890s character 3 bedroom home in the fashionable inner city area of Mt Victoria. The house is only a short walk to Wellington’s entertainment, waterfront and shopping precincts and is the perfect base from which to explore our fabulous city.
Entering through the front door into the enclosed porch, you might be tempted to spend the rest of the day here, sitting in the sun. But this house just gets better.
The house was built in the 1890’s and you can still see many of the original features that have been meticulously preserved. Off the wide hallway to the left is the formal living room, with large sofas and a fireplace.
To the right is one of three bedrooms. Just past the living room is the master bedroom and past that another bedroom, all have queen size beds.
Two bathrooms ensure that there will be no morning rush as you all get ready to head out for the day to explore Wellington.
The back of the house opens out into a large open-plan living and entertaining area, complete with modern, fully equipped kitchen.
Open up the bi-fold doors to the sheltered, private courtyard and the only decision you will have to make is should you head out for dinner or stay at home and enjoy a meal under the stars.

PARKING INFORMATION
No off-street parking is available.
However on-street Coupon Parking can usually be found not far from the house. The cost is $12.50 per day and free on weekends and public holidays. Overnight parking is free.
Coupons can be purchased around the corner at the local store or by downloading the PayMyPark app.
Check the Metlink Website for public bus timetables to/from Mt Victoria.
– This is the owner’s own home, so their personal items are in the house, however space will be made in the wardrobes for you.
– No groups, gatherings, events or parties are permitted.
– Parking – There is no free off-street parking available. Please read the parking section for more information.
– Visitors – The house and amenities are for guest use, so if you plan to have visitors, please check with me before booking.
– Germaine the cat (named after Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords) normally lives here with her mum and dad. She won’t be at the house during your stay but if you are allergic to animals, please take note.
I will be there to meet you on arrival and am very happy to answer questions and provide any information that you need. From there the house is all yours.
Mt Victoria is an inner city suburb and is one of Wellington’s oldest suburbs. It is highly desired due to it’s all day sun and town belt green space (for movie buffs, the famous scene in Lord Of The Rings, when the Hobbits hide under a tree from the Ringwraiths was filmed on Mt Victoria’s walking tracks).
Guests are welcome to use all areas of the home, apart from the study.

– No groups, gatherings, functions, events or parties are permitted for any reason. Bookings for a group of unrelated individuals are not permitted – if unsure, please send me an enquiry first via the ‘Contact Host’ button at the bottom of the page.
– This is the owner’s own home with their own belongings, but some space will be made available in the wardrobes.
– This is a residential area so no noise between 10pm and 7am.
– Maximum of 6 guests in existing bedding only. No guests over and above the number listed on your booking and no guests other than those named in the booking.
– The lead guest must be present at the time of check-in. The keys will not be handed over to anyone else.

– No smokers or vapers and no smoking or vaping anywhere in or on the property. Possession and/or use of illegal/recreational drugs is not permitted. An additional minimum cleaning fee of $2000 will apply if the home smells of smoke/vaping/drugs or if there is any evidence of smoking/vaping or illegal drug use.
– To protect the timber floors, please do not wear shoes in the house or drag anything, including furniture or bags across the floor.
